This true incident happened the week of the February 6, 2012. I was writing at my new computer set-up in my bedroom, and it was the afternoon, I think around 3 p.m. I only recently put the computer in the room; it was an older one that had been replaced.
Needing a quiet place to write (since my main computer is also the main entertainment provider as it is hooked up to our big screen television "monitor"), I chose to put it there.
Now that computer had not been plugged in for the better part of a year. It was undergoing multiple maintenance and automatic upgrades, Windows upgrades and all of this. Being not half as quick or quiet as my "new" one, the PC was busy "crunching" and what-have-you. I heard the built-in fan repeatedly on the go as it crunched and uploaded whatever updates. That was fine, it did not affect nor hinder my writing.
Well, here is what happened, and it is a series of interesting and bizarre little events, and it is all true:
Writing away at a fiction story using Microsoft Word, I looked up to see what can only be described as a small "beam" of light (it looked like a laser) suddenly appear at the top right side corner of my monitor. Then very, very slowly it moved down in a diagonal line towards the right, where my old pc was located on the desk. The beam looked blue in colour, like a hot blue that was almost white, and was maybe two inches long.
I thought it very odd, and thought it was somehow a reflection of something, until it seemed to "enter" the pc. When it did, all noise stopped -- the crunching, the fan, the pc went dead silent. I actually, factually saw some beam enter subtly and make everything deadly silent!
I thought that was cool, whatever it was, whatever was the reason... and then had to leave to get my son at his daycare facility.
On the way there, in traffic driving west, I noticed something in the sky, appearing above the Gatineau Mountain range, or so it seemed. There was something flying, yet it was not a plane -- not at all. It was still daylight with no clouds at all. This craft blinked on and off, literally appearing and disappearing, moving southbound.
I had to keep my eyes on the road, and as I looked up again, it was still there. It was not as if a light was going on and off either; I mean, I would have seen the craft against the clear blue backdrop of the sky, there would have been something clearly visible. This thing was there, and then was utterly gone, and then back again some few seconds later.
Another few seconds later, I noticed another one! It was some short distance behind the first, doing the exact same thing, appearing and disappearing. Now since they were far away from my person, it was hard to say, but if asked, I would say they were shiny and silver, or the luminescent light they each gave off, seemed to shine in silver.
They slowly flew to the south and blinked on and off, being visible, and then invisible. I would check the road and then look up, check the road, and then look up, and they did this for a while, until an actual commercial airplane was headed towards them nonchalantly. It came from the east, heading west, as if it would accidentally "intercept" them, unknowingly.
Noticing this, I saw that the lights suddenly blinked off, not to return, or at least not until I had to change course and go on the appropriate streets to get my son. I did not see them again, though I checked the sky periodically.
I got the boy and went home, wondering about what I saw, naturally thinking: UFOs. It is being said by certain experts, witnesses, and sky watchers who follow ufology that the sightings of UFOs is increasing the world over. I wondered if this is what I was seeing. I do think so, and it would not be the first time I have seen bizarre things in the sky.
When I got home, my wife told me the internet was out. Bam, just like that. The internet providers did not post anything or say anything about any malfunction. We had to unplug and re-plug the router and all the rest quite a few times until it miraculously went back on.
I thought of the little light beam. Did it cause it? The funny thing: the writing I am doing is a (fiction) short story, partially about extraterrestrials, how they are very much indeed alive and well, and carefully monitoring human beings. And they are not a threat to us at all, just acting like big brothers and sisters, waiting for the right time to come and reveal things to us as our knowledge of science and spirituality grows.
I suppose it just might, in fact, be true? Either way, that is what my story is about. I have seen things in the sky before, and sometimes those flying craft or whatever fly off at ridiculously fast speeds, going way up into the beyond. I have seen that a couple of times at night, and it is unreal.
Did the beam, those ships, and the internet going off all have something to do with each other? Maybe, maybe not, but I think they do. To me, all of it, and the coincidence of what I was writing about, well, seems just like perfect little coinciding pieces of a whole... as if "they" are winking at me, and whoever else.
