In 2002, I was at my girlfriend's house in Camp Verde, Arizona. Her dog died, or so we thought. It couldn't move at all. Her eyes still had life in them, but she couldn't move them. Then the life went away.
A little back story here: I'd been at a seminar years earlier at which a man had a heart attack sitting in a chair right in front of me. People screamed as he fell. I said to my friend that the man wouldn't die. I broke into prayer silently. The man freakin' stood up and asked what had happened! The paramedics said he'd had a heart attack.
So, here with the dog, Shadow, it's time to try it again, right? So I prayed for Shadow, knowing full well that I could help. Now here's where it gets paranormal. Shadow seemed to die. She'd quit breathing, she defecated. She was dead. I couldn't see life in her eyes anymore and her mom (my girlfriend) was just heavily sobbing on the floor. I was very hurt but didn't want to cry in front of her.
I went outside and stood in the garage of the house. The garage door was open. I heard a very distinct howl of a dog. It was in pain and long and drawn out, and it wasn't more than maybe 30 feet away. Now, this is on a mountaintop. You can see for miles. The howl came from the side of the house where the bedroom was, and the dog was there inside the bedroom. I heard this. Very real! There was no dog outside the house. I looked all around. I heard my girlfriend from inside the house screaming.
I ran inside and Shadow was thumping her tail on the carpet looking at me. I asked what the howl was and my friend said there'd been no howling, Shadow simply awoke - snapped out of it. One time, just to test the situation, I said "Jesus" in the dog's presence and she ran to me. I never tested that again. Something happened to that dog on a spiritual level. That howl was as real as day. From that day forward, every time I'd come around, Shadow would absolutely stay on me like I was a magnet. She'd look in my eyes and kiss me like, well, the dog knew something.
Prayer works for animals. Dogs have spirits, and they can articulate, too, apparently. This is the truth. That dog died and came back from prayer.
