Up-to-the-minute reports of paranormal activity and news from around the world

GHOSTS, HAUNTINGS, POLTERGEISTS:

Spirits haunt former pub
The new owners of the former Cross House pub at Easington Lane discovered they had a sitting tenant within weeks of starting renovation work - a party-loving ghost. "Mummy, please don't be frightened … we have a new friend, and we are not alone," announced the family's four-year-old daughter as they settled down to watch TV one night...

It's dead right to make peace with ghosts
"I see ghosts." When the movie Sixth Sense, about a boy who communicates with the dead, was released, the general reaction from Hong Kong locals was, "Duh!" Ghosts are as real to the population as the smell of diesel off the harbor. Hong Kong people may be fearless in the face of any stir-fried dish consisting of animals, insect or invertebrates but nothing will scare them off a below-market rate property faster than the ghost of a previous tenant, who met an untimely death...

Ghost story: Searching for ghosts
Whether it's Scooby-Doo or the crew on "Ghost Hunters," the formula is fairly simple you gather your group (usually in a van), drive out to a supposedly haunted site, poke around to find out the history of the place and then go see if you can spot your specter. Everything pretty much gets wrapped up in half an hour or an hour, unless you happened to catch a Halloween special or a movie. And, as with most things that show up on TV, chasing ghosts in real life is nothing like the televised adventures...

Ghost hunters probe shuttered Vallejo shipyard for spirits
Mare Island, home to the ruins of a naval shipyard, is so full of history that it sometimes seems like the broken buildings are whispering stories. But perhaps the disembodied voices come from another source...

Pub punters terrorized by bum-pinching ghost
Terrified regulars at the Queen's Arms have been keeping their backs to the wall since they realised the randy ghost was stalking the bar. And it has become so bothersome that the exasperated owners have had called in a team of ghostbusters to give the saucy spook the bum's rush...

CREATURES:

M.K. Davis incredible breakdown of white Bigfoot
We're not sure how recent this alleged Bigfoot footage is that M.K. Davis has in his possession, but it shows an amazing white Bigfoot on all-fours, and then getting up on two legs, sprinting out of view at an incredible rate. According to Davis, this alleged white Bigfoot came from the southern part of the United States. Davis also points out the sheer size of the Sasquatch compared to the cow in front of it...

10 most active Bigfoot sites in North America
When it comes to Bigfoot sightings, at Top Secret Writers we remain agnostic when it comes to whether or not sightings represent that of a new species of creature. It is difficult to believe that such a species could remain so elusive and hidden within a country where it can be very difficult to find any location without sign of human presence...

What Is Nessie REALLY?
In his preliminary analysis of the reports of the Loch Ness Monster done as a prelude to his first trip to Loch Ness, Tim Dinsdale came up with a number of statistical abstractions. His results in the category of hump sightings for example, break down into rough thirds (at a diminishing quantity per each third) for two humps, one hump or three humps (roughly half each out of that third) and then for multiple humps up to as many as a dozen in a row...

Bigfoot watching little girl near campsite
The location of this campsite is unknown, but according to the YouTube user, gusdog369, they inadvertently filmed a slender looking Sasquatch watching them from a few yards away. We're not going to call it a Sasquatch until the guys at Facebook Find Bigfoot can confirm it on at least 6 points...

Minneapolis' own lake monster
When you head out to the lakes in the summertime, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. But a couple of years ago, something else started making an appearance in the lakes of Minneapolis - something that looks a lot like the Loch Ness Monster. The first sighting was at Lake Harriet three years ago. Then people around Lake of the Isles, Brownie Lake, Lake Nokomis and Powderhorn Lake started seeing the creature, too...
