Mystery over crop circles in farm field
Crop circles have appeared in a field at Wester Flisk farm, near Newburgh. The field of winter wheat, which is four miles west of Gauldry, is the second area in north east Fife to have such a formation appear in the last two years after a similar shape was discovered on farmland in Luthrie last year. The area of flattened wheat covers around two acres of land and consists of crescent, circular and cup shapes and what has been described as a "sperm-like" formation…

Did aliens visit Balham and Tooting?
There were some strange and spooky goings on in the skies last week, prompting one observer to eerily predict "I think there is something out there." Stunned witnesses described how gobsmacked crowds were drawn out onto the streets to watch two sets of unidentified shining bright orange lights fly perfectly in formation through the skies above Balham and Tooting. The UFO's, which lit up the skies for a short while before shooting up and disappearing into the distance just before midnight last Friday, also had people standing in their gardens trying to capture the action on film and mobile phones…

Paranormal exhibit: It'll have you under its spell
"Magical" is a word we often use to describe a particularly satisfying artistic experience, but we don't usually mean it literally. We expect creative products to move us but not to exert their power through spells and incantations. Even so, art has long been associated with the supernatural, from Anasazi petroglyphs to the chorales of Bach. In the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001, many people expected it to renew its shamanistic role by soothing, healing and calming their souls…

The dogs were found gutted on a island in nearby Reindeer Lake on Sunday morning and another four dogs have gone missing…

In a rural valley outside Armstrong, a mystery lies in a field of barley. A crop circle has been discovered on land owned by Jack Noble, a third-generation grain farmer and, according to his daughter Brenda, a skeptic. "The family has quite a range of feelings about it," she said yesterday. "Some are convinced it's natural, while others have been out there looking for footprints…

Museum investigates mysterious tunnel
On a rainy day late in June, a group of youths attending a summer camp at the Heisey Museum were in the basement learning the finer points of a proper archaeological dig. They weren't expecting to find much more than a few old artifacts buried in a dirt section of the floor. But after putting in a good half-day's work, it was what they didn't find that caught their attention…

El Chupacabras returns to Santiago
Residents of this province found a group of kid goats slain in a pen. The case shares several similarities with events that took place four years ago plus a new feature: the presence of strange lights. The ghost of the "red-muzzled mouse." Three years ago, several rural districts in Argentina produced reports concerning the presence of mutilated cattle, causing INTI authorities to intervene and find an answer in the presence of the carrion rodent better known as "the red-muzzled mouse”…

Has the Patterson/Gimlin film been proven a hoax?
A recent book by author Greg Long, The Making of Bigfoot, purports to "expose" the famous Patterson/Gimlin film taken on October 20, 1967 at Bluff Creek in northern California. In the book, Long interviews dozens of witnesses who claim that in one way or another, Roger Patterson was a crook and a thief, a liar and a swindler. Long, not being too particularly bright (and driven by a seeming hatred for Patterson) takes this to mean that if Patterson was all of this, he must have faked the film as well…
