In 1977, Marlon Lowe was attacked and seized by a giant bird that was never identified in Lawndale IL. Varying reports have the child being lifted off the ground and carried a short distance by his shirt. The idea that a large (very large) bird would attack a child has been written off as far-fetched by many ornithologists, but many sites on the internet, thanks in large part to research on the part of Jerome Clark and Loren Coleman, list a few nineteenth century tales of such attacks. May I add one slightly-more recent attack to their compilation...

"Bigfoot" photos from 9/27 camping trip
After quality printing and enhancement, a Bigfoot photo taken 9/27/06 on an expedition in CA can now be shown. Bigfoot was photographed while unseen in High Sierras of CA, when members of a camping trip encountered screams by a possible Bigfoot in response to "Call blasting" of other Bigfoot screams, and found several old Bigfoot tracks. However, during a walk around the other side of a pond at the El Dorado National Forest Site, (between Stockton and Lake Tahoe) Jon-Erik Beckjord investigated a spot where girlfriend Chris Pitts had seen a brief flash of what seemed like Bigfoot from the previous day, and while standing there, took several photos of the campsite looking across the pond...
F-89 discovery a possible hoax
Since this story first appeared, various people have been trying to corroborate information supplied by Adam Jimenez concerning the alleged discovery of a missing F-89 on the bottom of Lake Superior. While it may be too early to reach any definitive conclusions, there certainly seems to be many more questions than answers concerning Great Lakes Dive Company and the alleged F-89 discovery...
Paranormal investigators spend night in 'hanging jail'
A few dusty bare bulbs did little to dispel the eerie shadows of the 92-year-old Beauregard Parish jail for a group of paranormal investigators. The building, known as the "hanging jail" because two men were executed there in March 1928, was closed in 1984. The years have not been kind. The walks are crumbling, the paint is peeling, and the iron bars and doors are covered with a thick coat of rust...
Appearances nightly: selected audiences only
Its often asked, mainly by the anti-UFO people, why is it that UFOs/aliens and other weird things havent appeared to men and women of science, to our political leaders, to Those That Count. Why is it, they ask, no world leader, no acclaimed scientist, has been abducted by aliens or awakened one morning to see a landed flying saucer in their backyard? Since this hasnt happened (presumably) they insist that the only logical conclusion is this: there are no such things as UFOs, Bigfoot, extraterrestrials, Nessie, the chupacabras, and other anomolous things...

The curious story of Jap Herron
That the story of Jap Herron and the two short stories which preceded it are the actual post-mortem work of Samuel L. Clemens, known to the world as Mark Twain, we do not for one moment doubt. --Emily Grant Hutchings, The Coming of Jap Herron (1917) Mark Twain, died in 1910. During the mid-to late-1800s, Twains novels, essays and short stories made him a world-wide celebrity. Through financial failures and personal tragedy, Twain, who in 1875 pecked out the first novel ever written on a typewriter, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, never stopped writing. Maybe even after death...

Paranormal corridor - Southwest USA
Using infared binoculars, a researcher in Utah was able to observe a large black animal crawling through a tunnel into our dimension. The ape-like creature moved along using its elbows. After exiting and sauntering off into the night, the anomalous yellow light which contained the tunnel, slowly faded away. This is but one of the events which occurred on the Skinwalker Ranch property while paranormal researchers were there...
