Ghostly guests in Prosser home
Debora Jennings knows just how many times the closet door in her guest room has opened on its own -- 27. She doesn't just find the door ajar. She actually hears the doorknob jiggle and the latch release. She also has come downstairs and found all of the pictures on the living room wall hanging at a 45-degree slant, and several months ago she found a footprint emblazoned in her bedroom floor...

Cat's "sixth sense" predicting death?
Predicting the death of a patient, even an elderly, demented one, is an inexact science, even for a doctor with decades of medical experience. But a cat in a Providence, R.I., nursing home, an animal shelter refugee named Oscar, seems to have a sixth sense about when residents in the home's advanced dementia unit are about to pass away. And his actions can sometimes help alert the staff to notify family members in time for them to get to the nursing home to tell their loved ones goodbye...

Chemists study mysterious substance
It didn't rain cats and dogs, apparently something strange did come from the sky in Bucks County. As we first told you on 69 News Tuesaday, a Perkasie resident contacted us after he found a strange substance all over his yard after a rainstorm. Today WFMZ's Joscelyn Moes called up a couple of chemists at Kutztown University to help her crack the case...

The "O'Hare Report"
An incursion by an unidentified aerial phenomena, UAP, into Class B restricted airspace was reported by airline and airport employees at Chicago 's O'Hare International airport on 7November2006. The offending object was described by all witnesses as a disc-shaped form that hovered over C terminal. When the UAP departed it left a hole in the overcast above the airport...

Picture poses question: Are we alone?
Take a look at the picture and let us know what you see. The ring at the top center has a lot of people asking the question: What is it? While staring into the dusk sky a small group in one neighborhood couldn't quite grasp what they were looking at. So, one Millington woman grabbed her camera. The pictures still don't quite clarify what's hovering overhead...

Science and neurosis
The public believe that science is absolutely true in the ideas it offers. Scientists know this to be untrue – science can only give a probability of correctness – but in the main they are happy to allow this public misconception to remain. But are scientists now beginning to believe their own publicity?..

Scientists now know: We're not from here!
Imagine the shock of growing up in a loving family with people you call "Mum" and "Dad" and then, suddenly, learning that you are actually adopted! This same sense of shock came as scientists announced that the Sun, the Moon, our planet and its siblings, were not born into the familiar band of stars known as the Milky Way galaxy, but we actually belong to a strange formation with the unfamiliar name of the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy!..

Mysteriously relocated objects do not mean paranormal activity
People in search of paranormal beings set up cameras in so-called haunted places in hopes of finding what? Paranormal beings, I understand, are notably camera-shy. A story about a haunted opera house in Anson from the Abilene Reporter News Web site caught my attention recently. Several weeks ago I had driven through Anson but was not aware then of the ghostly goings-on...

New ‘Last Supper’ theory crashes Web sites
A new theory that Leonardo’s “Last Supper” might hide within it a depiction of Christ blessing the bread and wine has triggered so much interest that Web sites connected to the picture have crashed. The famous fresco is already the focus of mythical speculation after author Dan Brown based his “The Da Vinci Code” book around the painting, arguing in the novel that Jesus married his follower, Mary Magdelene, and fathered a child...

Who's seen Wilton's Blue Lady?
People visiting Vale End Cemetery hoping to get a glimpse of an elusive blue ghost have wound up seeing the blue lights of Wilton police cars instead. Several families have been shooed from the infamous Vale End Cemetery in recent weeks after being found "ghost hunting" after the cemetery curfew of 7 p.m., but Police Chief Brent Hautanen said the problem of after-hours ghost hunters has haunted his department for the almost four years he's been chief...
