Buyer beware: fake psychic readings
T. Stokes: I have over many years campaigned for both a code of ethics, and certification to practice for all psychic readers, and at no time in the past has this been more necessary than the present. Any lecturer, medium or psychic can gauge the effectiveness on any matter by the volume of his postbag, and for many years I have had a constant input of correspondence, on the matter of fraud in the profession, in some cases involving quite large sums of money, this was only superseded by calls to my radio slot...

Britain had an extraordinary secret weapon during the Second World War - an astrologer employed to guess Adolf Hitler's moves, according to newly released files. Louis de Wohl persuaded MI5 that the Fuhrer's apparently intuitive tactical decisions were heavily influenced by his horoscope...

Argentina: The Sierra de los Padres "phantom"
Luis Burgos writes: "Silvia Simondini of the VISION OVNI organization has sent us another curious daylight photograph of a UFO taken at Sierra de los Padres, Buenos Aires Province by collaborators of her organization, who have managed to take excellent photos of these objects over the area in recent times...

What's real, what's fake?
Let's say, for the sake of argument, Larry King got his wish one day and UFOs landed on the White House lawn with the Beltway press corps on hand to record the event. But it zipped off before Klaatu could shake hands with the prez. In this digital age with so many clever Photoshop artists out there, you probably still couldn't get a consensus on the images' authenticity. The photographers' Internet habits would go on trial before the photos would...

12-year-old "Magneto Man" breaks every computer he touches
Confirming our belief that some people are just "bad with computers," a boy named Joe Falciatano III from Pulaski, New York, seems to have simply the worst luck ever -- and some think it could be do to an overly magnetized touch. While using PCs at this elementary school, Joe -- who dubbed himself "Magneto Man" -- found that every system he laid his hands on went totally haywire...

Sugarcane signs
On January 20th, around two weeks after the movie "Signs" was shown on TV with very high ratings, the small city of Riolandia, Sao Paulo, became the epicenter of a very familiar phenomenon. Big areas of sugarcane fields were suddenly found laying down, and the owner of the Inn located between the first areas claimed he saw a "big oval light" just above the place. Ufologists visited the Inn, gave some interviews to local newspapers and TV news, expressed how they thought it was unexplainable and UFOs could indeed be involved, then went back home. Apparently, there wasn't much else to investigate...

Paranormal group learns art of dowsing, visits historic haunted sites
Claudia Metz has been called a nut job, a kook and a wacko. She just smiles and challenges those people to research the paranormal, learn about it, then debate its existence. The Loveland woman who calls herself Ghost Huntress and carries with her a pink case of ghost-hunting tools admits she's a skeptic and a believer. "You can't be critical, analytical in your investigation if you don't leave room for doubt," she said. "You can't think you know everything."..

Demon in home' grabs our attention
Neighborhood children lined Chase Street in West Pittston in 1986 to check out the Smurl home. The Smurl family claimed a demon haunted the house, and even caused bodily injury to the family. And Jack and Janet Smurl, then of West Pittston, told the world a demon was haunting their Chase Street home for nearly 18 months...

On an elusive quest
Loren Coleman is a leading authority on some diverse topics. He has a master's degree in clinical social work and has worked for years as a researcher and consultant in the field of suicide prevention and school violence, all over the country. But he also has degrees in anthropology and zoology, and over the years he's become a national figure in cryptozoology, the area of documenting new or unknown animals...

Crop circles: Messages from the gods
Paul Dale Roberts: I have been to Stonehenge in England, with my ex-wife Patricia. As I stood there in awe, I could faintly hear my ex-wife say, "those are just a bunch of rocks, I don't understand the fascination, come on, let's go shopping in London!" While I surveyed the countryside to Bath on the following day, I was looking for crop circles. Crop circles have a universal language of geometry. I believe that the ancient sites of England and leylines have something to do with the crop circle phenomenon. Somehow these crop circles are changing our perspective of life and our consciousness...

Mokele-mbembe deaths
As I mentioned in 2005, when several Mokele-mbembe researchers died in a temporal cluster, I'm not talking about a curse. I'm merely noticing that several African-linked researchers have passed away seemingly together. The sudden death of Scott Norman at 43 years of age merely goes to reinforce my memories of all of these losses...
