Terence McKenna: communication via fungi?
The late psychedelic philosopher Terence McKenna isn't typically associated with the search for extraterrestrial intelligence; he mostly concerned himself with the actualization of intelligence here on Earth, taking a welcome cosmic perspective that revealed our species' failings and latent potential. But he introduced at least one new idea to the SETI controversy that deserves consideration, especially in light of recent discoveries. McKenna suggested that the surreal hallucinatory states experienced by "trippers" might constitute a form of extraterrestrial contact, vastly more intimate than the radio signals anticipated by his mainstream counterparts...

UFOs: The secret report ordered by General Douglas MacArthur
Bill Knell: Growing up as the son of a retired Air Force Officer in the 1960s was fascinating. I do recall a tiny bit of the time when he was still on active duty, but it's the stories I heard about UFOs after his retirement that still fascinate me...

The man who grew a finger
"I put my finger in," Mr Spievak says, pointing towards the propeller of a model aeroplane, "and that's when I sliced my finger off." It took the end right off, down to the bone, about half an inch. Today though, you wouldn't know it. Mr Spievak, who is 69 years old, shows off his finger, and it's all there, tissue, nerves, nail, skin, even his finger print. How? Well that's the truly remarkable part. It wasn't a transplant. Mr Spievak re-grew his finger tip. He used a powder - or pixie dust as he sometimes refers to it while telling his story...

They ain't afraid of no ghosts
Paranormal group spends the night hoping to meet courthouse's spooks. Angie Smith walked calmly, confidently down the dim hallway to a dark open doorway. When she spoke, her voice was pleasant and unafraid: "Can you please show yourself to us? ... Is there anybody here who would like to communicate with us?" She sounded as if she truly expected an answer, which was enough to give chills to at least one of the two grown male observers tagging along...

My visit to haunted grounds and my spirit bird
Kitty L.: Do you believe in ghosts, spirits, etc.....? I do-- but the average person doesn't, only because they have never experienced a paranormal experience like what I did this past weekend. Lawman has a close encounter
Early one morning, a deputy sheriff in Minnesota found himself blinded by the light of a UFO. At 1:40 a.m., Johnson spotted a bright light along a group of trees some distance from his car. A new angle on pyramids
It's a theory that gives indigestion to mainstream archeologists. Namely, that some of the immense blocks of Egypt's Great Pyramids might have been cast from synthetic material - the world's first concrete - not just carved whole from quarries and lugged into place by armies of toilers...
