Here is the latest from bigfoottracker.com: “Yes!!!!!!! It’s true, we have a body of bigfoot. We will start to release pictures and videos next month of the body, also we have clear video of Bigfoot alive. Thanks for your support. 100% real no fakes, no scams, we gain nothing til we prove it”...

Tracking Bigfoot no small feat for local detective
The creature also goes by the aliases Yeti, Sasquatch or Skunk Ape. Skeptics have added monikers such as "pure fiction" and "rubbish." To longtime private investigator David Paulides, the legendary creature is yet another case to solve. Four years ago, the 1974 graduate of Monta Vista High School and a 20-year Santa Clara Valley detective, got bored and wanted to combine his love of outdoors with a good mystery. So he decided to go in search of the elusive simian...

Target acquired: The armed response to UFOs
On Wednesday, November 27, 2002, a flight of Lockheed F?16 interceptors was launched to investigate what was described by a NORAD spokesman as "a trail of condensation" moving from the Caribbean Sea toward the United Stated. This contrail apparently alerted the Air Space Command, located in Colorado Springs, that a rogue aircraft or missile may have been fired toward a target in the continental U.S. The fighters reached the indicated coordinates, but were unable to find the source of the contrail...

The Saturday strangeness: The scariest urban legend
Urban legends are often considered myths, or 'friend of a friend' tales (FOAFtales), which differ from classic mysteries in the sense that they are perceived as exaggerated yarns. London has many such tales from its dark, foggy corners, but there is one such story which has become criminally forgotten, and for me remains one of the capital's most horrifying legends – namely 'The Maniac On The Platform' first discussed by folklorist Michael Goss back in 1985. Other such 'urban legends', for example, are phantom hitchhikers, or in the case of New York, alleged alligators said to inhabit the sewer systems. However the so-called platform maniac, said to haunt crowded platforms on the London Underground, would have once equaled even larger scale myths of the world if it had got out of hand...

Sasquatch hair analysis in Alberta
Loren Coleman: I look forward to seeing as many of you as I can at my 2:00 PM Mountain Time cryptozoology presentation tomorrow, Sunday, July 20th at the Royal Alberta Museum in Edmonton. Since I’m in Alberta, I thought I would re-visit this story from 2005. Perhaps I will even be able to meet David Coltman (above) and obtain some of the Teslin “Sasquatch” hair for the cryptozoology museum. Because Coltman’s subsequent analysis turned into a negative result, I feel the episode did not get enough widespread notice in hominology and cryptozoology circles. The event was actually something of a milestone, to have a scientist take to heart the full analysis of hair said to be from a “Sasquatch,” and then get his results published...

The real Batman
Loren Coleman: Batman does exist, and yet it is difficult to tell if it or he is a cryptid or something else altogether. Today, with The Dark Knight setting all kinds of box office records, it seems an appropriate time to revisit a few of these weird but actual accounts. Take for example, the bizarre events from Valentine’s Day (!), 2007, coming out of Arizona, where a “Batman” was sighted. Three schools in the north Phoenix (!) suburb of Cave Creek (such location details can’t be made up!) were on lockdown for about 45 minutes on the morning of February 14, 2007, after a student at Desert Arroyo Middle School reported seeing what seemed like a person dressed as Batman run across campus, jump a fence and disappear into the desert...

Exploring street light interference
Why can certain individuals cause street lights to switch off just passing near them? (Photos.com)A man walks near a streetlight and it turns off. As he continues down the street the light turns back on again. Is this an explainable electrical phenomenon or the product of unknown energies?..
