The single hair that could FINALLY prove the Yeti really exists
He is 8ft tall and has a roar that could start an avalanche. Despite this, the yeti has always managed to remain abominably elusive. But yesterday, claims that the legendary beast really does exist took a giant step forward. Scientists have used microscopes to analyse of strands of hair found caught on some rocks in jungle near the India-Bangladesh border...

Researchers may have found cosmic Rosetta stone
Star light, star bright. The first star grew fast, but began slight. The first cosmological object formed in the universe was a tiny protostar with a mass of about 1 percent of our sun, according to U.S. and Japanese researchers who spent years developing a complex computer simulation of what it was like after the Big Bang that formed the universe...

Durham's 'gorilla'
Was it really a bear? A hippie? A costumed hooligan? 35 years ago, something funky had this town talking. Young bike-riding friends were the first to see it: something big, hairy, scary. After one mom saw it, too - she described an ape peeking out from behind bushes - 30 police cars circled Durham with orders to shoot...

The Montauk Monster and the best cryptids of all-time
By now, you're certainly have had nightmares about the Montauk Monster story that Gawker broke on Tuesday. Is it a turtle missing its shell? A dog thrown in the ocean by its evil owner? A nutria? A viral marketing campaign for Cloverfield 2? Someone call a cryptozoologist, on the double. Strange hominid sighting reported near Red Lion, York County, Pennsylvania
I received a telephone call today from a woman who claims to have seen a small bigfoot-like creature on July 18th, 2008 near the town of Red Lion, Pa. She stated that she had been shopping and was on her way home. As she was driving south on Rt. 624 about 2 miles from Red Lion, she noticed something running across a field near a home construction site. At first, she thought it was a large dog but it stood upright like a human. She pulled her car into an unfinished side road and observed the creature for several minutes as it would stop, look around, then continue running until it reached a small woods. She states that it was around 7PM in the evening and clear...

Can Fluffy predict a quake?
Can animals predict earthquakes and other impending disasters? Many people, including scientists, believe they can and are pointing to Tuesday's earthquake in southern California as further evidence of this weird phenomenon...

Incredible discoveries made in remote caves
Scientists exploring caves in the bone-dry and mostly barren Atacama Desert in Chile stumbled upon a totally unexpected discovery this week: water. They also found hundreds of thousands of animal bones in a cave, possibly evidence of some prehistoric human activity. The findings are preliminary and have not been analyzed...

Spirits in Ontario museum speak to researchers
For all you nay-sayers, there may be some basis to the notion that Owen Sound's Billy Bishop Museum is haunted. Recently, a team of paranormal investigators set up camp in the museum to see if they could record evidence of anything out of the ordinary. Museum Manager Mary Smith says investigators from Jeff's Paranormal in Barrie caught three apparent E.V.P.'s or audio recordings of unexplainable voices...
