Army funds 'synthetic telepathy' research
The Army has given a team of University of California researchers a $4 million grant to study the foundations of "synthetic telepathy." But unlike old-school mind-melds, this seemingly psychic communication would be computer-mediated...
Cows seem to know which way is north
Talk about animal magnetism, cows seem to have a built-in compass. No bull: Somehow, cattle seem to know how to find north and south, say researchers who studied satellite photos of thousands of cows around the world. Most cattle that were grazing or resting tended to align their bodies in a north-south direction, a team of German and Czech researchers reports in Tuesday's issue of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences...
Bigfoot hoax head on eBay
An excellent replica - hey, the exact copy - of the Georgia Bigfoot hoax head has turned up on eBay, and shall go to the highest bidder. Well watch this one, but considering the entire costume, including the head, went for $50,000 to the unfortunate guy in Indiana, the price of this one will be a bargain!..

I'm not a history buff, which is why I didn't consider reading it before. I finally picked it up and read it from cover to cover...

Has NASA embargoed life on Mars?
A leading astrobiologist claimed this month that NASA has evidence of contemporary microbial life on Mars but has embargoed the news because of political considerations. In a story picked up in Asia but largely ignored in the Western press, Chandra Wickramasinghe, a leading proponent of Panspermia and an astrobiologist at the University of Cardiff, said: "The discovery of liquid water on Mars combined with earlier discoveries of organic substances in a meteorite that came from Mars, and also of methane in the Martian atmosphere all point to the existence of life -- contemporary life -- on the Red Planet."..
