The ghost of Tewin Bury Farm
This is a photo taken at Tewin Bury Farm in Hertfordshire by designer Neil Sandbach for inclusion in some Wedding Stationery he was preparing for a couple due to host their wedding at the farm. When Neil opened up the photo on his computer he was surprised, and not a little spooked, when he noticed a blurry white figure that he was certain wasn't visible when the photo was taken, as there was nobody else around...
Furthest from land and down: a deep-sea monstrosity?
Recently on the Gralien Report I discussed briefly my interest in unconventional cryptozoology, that is, the study of strange beasties that fall outside the typical ranks of our Bigfoot, Yetis, and Loch Ness Monsters. Many may consider creatures like Chupacabras to be less conventional cousins to the classic cryptids, seeing as how they, along with Keel's Mothman, border more on the realm of interdimensional "alien oddities" than biological organisms as we know them...
The bloodless vampire
In the west, we tend to categorize everything. We try to come up with rules and regulations that define what something is, sometimes to desperate lengths and great frustration when something just doesn't fit. Mythical creatures are no exception. We view the vampire as a blood drinking undead human, and a werewolf as a living human that can take a wolf-like form and ravage the population like an animal. In Eastern Europe, the homeland of most folklore relating to the vampire and werewolf, these lines can become hopelessly blurred, and the creatures can become almost the same...
Is there a cure for werewolf syndrome

But when you really think about it, what a struggle it must be to have to deal with this condition. Not only for the person who has this genetic condition called hypertrichosis but for their families as well...
16th-century mapmaker's intriguing knowledge
How was it that a German priest writing in Latin and living in a French city far from the coast became the first person to tell the world that a vast ocean lay to the west of the American continents? That is one of the bigger mysteries in the history of the Renaissance...
Advert ban for clairvoyant
A clairvoyant has been banned from claiming she could cure everything from witchcraft to depression... because she can't prove it. Sister Charlotte, a successful crystal ball, tarot card and palm reader from Chorlton, Manchester, claimed to be able to solve problems in love, marriage, business, exams and even immigration...
Argentina: mutilating entity adds to mystery in Victoria
On November 12, 2008 another strange manifestation occurred in this locality, which evidently remains the area for deep mysteries. This occasion involved the mutilation of a small rabbit, which shows us the impunity with which such deeds are committed. The animal's owner says that at 8 pm on the previous evening, she fed the animal for the night and awoke to find it in the condition displayed in the photographs...
