Scariest Movies - Readers' Choices

I recently asked readers to give us their choices for the scariest movies they have ever seen. These are the films that made them jump, kept them up at night, haunted their nightmares... in short, scared them out of their wits.

Paranormal Activity (2007)

Synopsis: A haunted house makes no secret of the fact it's not pleased with its new tenants in this independent tale of supernatural horror.

I, too, thought it was a pretty effective ghost movie. It borrowed a bit from Poltergeist, has good acting, but it always seems rather a cheat when the ending is left open-ended."
