I was 17 years old and just got married. After moving in with my new husband, the paranormal activity started immediately. My husband at the time worked on an oil rig off the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. We lived in Mendenhall, Mississippi, a small country community in central Mississippi.
I was never one to stay by myself because I done so many times before when my parents were away, even though throughout my life I had always experienced paranormal activity that became part of my life.
My new husband would be gone for a week at a time. We were married in December 10, 1982. When I moved in with after we were married I didn't feel uncomfortable, but that didn't take long to change everything from sanity to my faith, and I felt I had no one to turn to after a time, especially when most of my friends, including family, didn't believe or want to admit strange things were happening.
It all started after a short honeymoon; he left for work on the oil rig within two days of us returning from our honeymoon. After the the third night, I woke up at about 2:30 a.m. I knew the time because I was lying on my husband's side of our king size bed. I had the feeling of being watched from the other side of our bed, which was my side.
The other thing I noticed was that the air felt strange. This was in the dead of winter, so the feeling of extreme warmth was not normal. As I sat up and turned toward the presence, there stood what I thought was my husband, so I called out his name, but no answer. He just stood there staring at me without brinkling, his eyelids and his body were glowing.
This is crazy, I know, but this is what I saw. So I got out of the bed and walked over to where he was standing, still trying to get him to answer me, but all he did was turn toward me without saying a word, still staring a hole right through me and his body still glowing.
When I got within reach of him, he vanished right in infront of me. Scared me. I turned and ran, turning on the bedroom light on, but there was no husband. I scearched closets in every room, bathroom, kitchen, checked every window, which were locked from the inside, the doors deadbolted from the inside. We had a siding glass door in our kithen. The stick that I had him cut for me was still in place. You couldn't opened or close it without moving that stick out first. I even check outside, but nothing.
I set up for the rest of the morning, trying to tell myself it didn't happen. After a few days, my husband returned home, and after breakfast I brought the subject up if he missed me. (I did this thinking it must be we were thinking of each other at the exact time and we connected on spirit plane. Right? Wrong.) All he said was, of course he did. Why did I ask. So I explained to him what happened, but all he said was that it was just a dream. I dropped the subject.
Nothing else happened until early spring when I was washing and drying our clothes. As I began to put them away, I began getting that strange feeling of being watched, but it was as if I was being watched from all over the house. When I went into our bedroom to put some clothes in our drawers, I felt strange again. That is when I turned to noticed that the picture of Mary, Mother of Jesus was laying flat down on our bedside table... and the picture had been taken from frame it was in.
I picked it up and put it in it's rightful place and walked out to get some clothes to hang in our closets. So I returned to our bedroom and again the picture was laying this time on the floor, out the frame, which was laying face-down on the nightstand. I calmly picked it up and again placed it back in the frame and walked out to get the last load of clothes.
When I returned to our bathroom, all I can say is I felt threatened, but I walked back into the bedroom to find that the picure was gone. The frame was empty and her picture was gone. I searched frantically for that picture. When I finally found it, it was between the water bed mattress and frame. The only way that could happen is if it was put there intentionally.
