I'm a 16-year-old student at college. This incident happened in my parents' house in Scotland when I was 13. The date was June 8, 2009, 10:40 p.m. I was lying in bed trying to get some sleep. My bedroom lamp was turned off because I slept in the dark.
Suddenly, I felt compelled to sit up in bed. As I did so, my cardigan that was on the end of my bed rose up, flew toward me, and hit me in the face. I was so scared so I called to my twin sister, who was sleeping in a different room. I said, "Emma, something freaky just happened."
"Alright. I'll be there in a second," she said.
A couple of seconds later, I heard the loudest scream I had ever heard. My parents and I went running to my sister's room. When we got there, she was shaking so badly and pointing at her closet. "Did you see that?!" my sister yelled.
"what? I didn't see anything," my mum said. My dad opened the closet, but there was nothing there.
"I saw something! I swear on my life I did!" my sister insisted.
"It's alright. You're safe now," my mum said, hugging her.
Jump to June 10, 11 p.m. I woke up suddenly, and I don't know why, but I looked toward my window and screamed when I saw a shadow that looked like the Grim Reaper standing outside my window. My parents came running and were shocked to actually see the shadow.
I took a picture of the shadow. My dad went outside to see if the shadow was there, but it wasn't. A couple of days later, I looked at the photo I took, but the shadow wasn't there. I still don't know what it was, but now I sleep with a nightlight.
