My story happened in 1976. I was in hospital in Telford, Shropshire, U.K. watching an old episode of the 1970s series Alias Smith and Jones. (I had hired a TV for the week.) I wondered why one of the show's stars, Pete Duel, had killed himself.
That night I had a vivid dream that Pete was in my house. He came upstairs with me and had his arm round my waist. He then sat in front of me, cupped open his hands and said, "See this letter? [written in black felt tip pen] Well, I am not going to tell you why I killed myself. You will see when you get the letter in the post."
I awoke and all that day there was complete silence in my house. Very spooky. The next day a letter DID come through the letter box, address written in black felt tip pen. Shaking, I opened it. It was a guy in Ireland who wrote the letter. It said Pete Duel died because of not being elected to the Screen Actor's Guild!
This wasnt the end! A while later, I dreamed about Pete again. He was standing next to a market stall. Suddenly he said, "Do you want to speak with my brother?" Pete's brother, Geoff, was with John Wayne in the film Chisum.
I said, "Yes, but how?"
He said, "We will see what we can do."
Two days later, The Screen Actor's Guild gave me Geoff Deuls phone number. I nervously dialed and found myself speaking to him! Nothing since has happened, but I have had some dreams about Pete.
