This story is actually from my mom and dad, but it took place in the Cabazon desert in California. The year was 1992. My parents just got married and it was my mom's first time in America. My dad was working as a security guard at the mall, so he would leave every morning at about 4 o'clock. My mom would get up with him and stay awake. When he leaves, she would lock the door and sit in her bed and just lie there awake.
Well, one night she heared giggles coming from the kitchen. Since they lived in a trailer, all she had to do was sit up in bed and she could see into the living room and kitchen. My mom panicked from what she saw: two little girls were chasing each other around her coffee table! They were dressed in clothes from the 1800s. My mom, not knowing what to do, asked them who they were. The girls stopped and looked at her. The older one smiled and then they disappeared.
Every morning after my dad would leave, the little girls would return and chase each other, and every time my mom would say something they would look at her and vanish.
One day she decided to tell my dad about it. As expected, he thought she was imagining things. "You are just a little worried because you left your family and are now living in a strange land," he would tell her. My mother tried to convince him that what she saw was real, but without success.
One night my mom was woken up by my dad screaming. "Tanja! Tanja! Where are you?" Confused, she she put her hand on him and said, "I am right here." She turned on the light and looked at him and saw his face was ghost white. "I believe you, Tanja, but we are getting out of here ASAP." My mother realized that he must have seen the girls and asked if he did, but he just shook his head. "No, I was sleeping and something told me to wake up, and I sat up in bed and I saw this green orb floating to me. I tried to move, but I couldn't. I tried to scream, but I couldn't. I was scared." A few days later, my parents moved out and never returned.
