Ghost and the Tulas Tree

This is something strange what had happened to my grandfather one year before he had passed away. Our live in the Konkan region, near Goa, Maharashtra, India. It so happened that my grandfather was a great devotee of our Lord Shiva. He use to continuously take his name and worship him. We have a small open ground in front of our house. And as per the traditions, there is a small tree called "Tulas". You can find this tree in every house in Konkan or any village area.

Once in the middle of the night at 2.30 a.m. to 3.00 a.m., gtandfather was sitting in his chair worshipping lord Shiva by saying, "Aum Namha Shivay." Suddenly he heard another voice coming repeating it. The voice was coming nearer to his ears. He just peeped out from the window, and there was a tall man of 7-feet, almost transparent, having a bright face with light surrounding him. He straight away came to the Tulas tree, which was in our small home ground. The phantom poured a mug of water, prayed something for some 10 to 15 seconds, made three rounds to the tree, then again prayed with hands closed to each other (Namaskar pose). Then he just watched our house for a minute and walked away from where he came.

This all happened in just two minutes. But no one knows who it was. My grandmother then strictly told grandpa not to sit outside alone so late night. But my grandfather died the very next year and his last words were, "Aum Namah Shivay."
