It was four years ago that I lived in my old house, Chapel Court, in Margate, Kent, U.K. And to this day I can honestly tell you I will never forget it!
It was was the 8th January, 2006 and I was 10 years old when I moved into Chapel Court. It was a lovely house, but little did I or my family know it used to be a pub called "The Phoenix Inn". For a few weeks my family settled in fine, but I on the other hand did not. I knew there was more to this place.
I constantly felt as if I was being watched from the stairs, and felt a male presense lurking near me. One day I decided to run myself a nice bath after school. When I got in it, I suddenly felt I was being watched through the crack of the door, so I shut it. Later, as I got out the bath, a strong smell of beer started to arise from the sink, and to my horror, when I went to open the bathroom door, I COULDN'T! It was as if a strong force was holding it shut. Panicking, I screamed for help. It got to the point where my brother had to kick the door off its hinges.
Another time, I woke up one morning to make some breakfast. As I said hello to my dog, he backed away from me and started viciously growling. I was so confused and hurt as I thought he was doing it to me.
The worst night I'll never forget was when I couldn't sleep. So I stared at the wall, but suddenly this bald-headed figure appeared there. I froze in shock, then he eventually dissapeared.
One year later, we moved out. I couldn't cope and it made it worse my own mother didn't believe me, until one day she got chatting to an elderly man in a cafe and he explained all about Chapel Court. He explained how a bald-headed man who used to manage the pub died there. My mum's face was hit with the shock.
