What I remember
My experience is not about me, but my son. He was near 4 years old when all of a sudden he said ''Mom, I was with God above and I looked down and saw you and I picked you as my mother.'' I was really taken by surprise cause my ex husband and I never really talked about religion. we both belonged to diferent religions and both never practiced it. I remember jokingly asking about what God was like but forgot what he said. This experience kind of still haunts me.
How old were you when you recalled this experience?
I gave birth when I was 34, so I was near 38 when I heard him say that. And it was out of the blue. There was no movie that we were watching, nor any conversation about spiritual matters...ever in our household.
Lessons Learned
- I honestly don't know. I believe there is life after death, no questions about it. So there must be life before birth. But I have no idea whether or not we can actually ''choose'' our parents before birth. I don't know if it is a child's imagination or the truth. I'd like to believe it, but I am not sure.
