the end of.....

One day just this last week, I was in my backyard, smoking a cigarette. The day was beautiful with sun and patchy clouds, nothing out of the ordinary. I got down half way through the cig and I stood up from my patio swing to let our dogs out. Now, some dreams are crazy when I remember them but I've never had a dream/vision still awake. When I got to my feet, the sky went white and I felt the entire ground begin to shake. Then the sky lit up with a bright flash, even brighter than the sun. I look towards the sun and there's this huge line of what looked like the aurora of borealis on fire that stretched across the entire sky. Then through the blue and clouds, I started to see the stars and constellations with it only being 3pm, I was really beginning to become worried of what's coming. A strong sense of there's nothing any one person can do and the feeling of being so small, witnessing something that's out of our hands. It was complete hopelessness and helplessness. Am I the only one???

Death

I first became aware of my premonitory dreams when I was about 13 or so. I saw my grandmother at Christmas and immediately knew something was wrong. At the time she was about 73 and simplly said that she had a bad cold so not to worry anyone. I had this nagging feeling in my mind that it was more than a cold. That night I dreamt that my grandmother was in the hospital. At first I ignored it. About a week later my mother told me that grandmother was in the hospital due to heart complications and that she had been sick for quite some time. Within a month, a family friend, who was grandmother's doctor, told us that she suspected that grandmother had cancer, some sort of luchemia I believe. For a while they treated her and she seemed to be doing fine. I went away to visit a friend in Spain over spring break and after a week of not sleeping well- I dismissed it as stress of travel at the time- I had a dream where I was telling grandmother goodbye. 3 hours later, I got the phone call.

Mom's Death

When I was 10 years old I had a dream that my mother was killed in a Colonial style house. The next year we moved from NYC to upstate NY & moved into the house that I dreamt about. I told my mother that, that was the house she was going to be killed in. On Oct. 5, 1963 my mother was shot to death at close range from a 22 rifle by her brother.

Marvin Gaye

In early August of 1979 I planned to move to San Francisco from New York City as I was telling my ex boyfriend about my plans he asked me when would we see each other again; I told him that I didn't know, but that I would find out. I then looked towards the ceiling. I saw straight lines of light not touching, but criss crossing each other and I heard a woman singing, so I decided to go to that line of light. I found myself standing at the bottom of stairs made of wood inside a home; I heard arguing coming from a room at the top of the stairs on the right. I was afraid to go upstairs, because I knew something terrible was about to happen. I returned to my conversation with my ex and told him that Marvin Gaye's father was going to shoot Marvin, but that he didn't mean to, because Marvin's father had a brain tumor. The song I heard was Missing You sung by Dianna Ross. I didn't go back to New York until June 1983; Marvin died on April 1st 1984 by his father's hand.

I don't remember anything as a dream. I just knew in my heart of hearts that an old boyfriend of mine's brother had passed away from a drug overdose. He was about 22. Time had passed and I ran into his cousin and was going to ask him how the family was after the guys death. I decided the time wasn't right, and didn't mention anything. About a year later there was an obituary in the paper of THE kid/man passing away. He had passed from a drug overdose. It was such an erie feeling because I would have sworn that kid/man had already died and I cannot believe I was going to discuss this with a relative when it actually hadn't even happened yet.

dreaming of future husband

About four years ago I was living California and was dating a man I met in college. His name was Ramon. One night I had a vivid dream, usually I forget my dreams as soon as I wake up. This dream I didn't forget. I was living back home in my home town in Idaho, working at my favorite restaurant, and was dating a Ramon who also worked there. But this Ramon was not the Ramon I knew at the time. I awoke in tears, trembling, extremely upset in the fact that I had dreamed of living back home, where I had sworn I would never go back to and dating a completely different person than I was at the time. (I thought Ramon and I were meant to be together forever.) Time passed, events happened, Ramon and I split, and I moved back home. I applied at that restaurant and was hired that same day. My managers name was Ramon. We began dating. With a strong sense of deja vu I remembered my dream one night while working. Now, THIS Ramon and I are due to be married and I couldn't be happier!

Early warning to prepare me

My ex-wife decided to end our marriage at the end of July of 2010. She had a history of infidelity and we didn't survive it. I was heartbroken and still suffer today from the loss. Our divorce was scheduled to be finalized on 11/29/10. In late october and through November of 2010, I kept having a dream of sitting up in bed, and hearing a voice. All the voice said was "Emma's pregnant". We divorced on the scheduled date, and one week later, she was very upset. I asked her "what's the due date?". She delivered on her exact due date of 8/15/11. I have had many premonitions pertaining to my ex wife. Just recently on 12/30/11, I had another odd thought. I had a deep need to do a public records check. I discovered my 38 year old ex wife married her 22 year old gym trainer 3 weeks earlier. She did not even tell our 10 and 8 year old she got married, even though they are with her half time. The kids found out through me. I also know I will have more premonitions pertaining to her

One of Many

The night before my birthday in 2010, I had a dream that my Grandpa was telling me goodby because he was dying. I was not particuliarly close with him, and had gone many years without seeing him until a few months prior. He was in an assisted living home and had Alzheimers. He was not in bad health, its not like we were expecting him to pass away soon. Anyway, that morning of my b-day, my Dad called at 6:30, not to say "happy birthday", but to tell me that my Grandpa had just died. I said, "I know."

It's more like simaltaneous knowledge

I get these but they're almost never before; they are either as it's happening or I get deja vu. I have never been close to my family so my feelings are weak, but once I dreamed that my grandmother had called me and was telling me some awful news that had happened; I woke up and tried to call her immediately, but got no answer. Assuming I was just imagining things, I dismissed it, only to find out later that I had called 2 hours after she found out her house burned down, killing my step-grandfather--she wasn't there as they had had a fight. When she called me in real life to tell me about it, shortly after I was waking up, I was confused and told her that she had already called me. She and her mother always had "shared experiences" like this, but I had never had one proven before, so it was a new experience for me. I still don't know how it helps to know as it's happening and not before, but maybe someday it will prove helpful.

Apocalyptic War

I have a long history of seeing trivial things, which happen later. This was not one of those. I was a Liuentenant, a paper pusher in the Army in some foreign country, in a walled compound with plaster walls. A "peaceful protest" had showed up, and after a short time of lulling us into a false sense of security, produced heavy weaponry and started attacking. After hours of shelling and sniping, all of our officers were dead, and I found myself in command of the base. I took over a machinegun nest on the wall as militants marched forward 25 captives in white robes and demanded that we surrender or they'd be executed. I tried to stall, saying I couldn't give the order. They began executing hostages, and our attempts to let them in failed and their attack increased in intensity. I called for napalm, and when asked how much, said "all of it". I got all of it, and the entire city our base was near was set ablaze. I knew war crimes trials would be in my future, and the dream ended.

Life saving vision

My mom was a diabetic, so of course I kept an eye on her. A few years ago, I was around 10-12 years old, I had a dream of her flat on her back, unable to move or even speak. I woke, a little disturbed by the vivid image that had played out in my head. I went and got a drink, and, upon leaving my room, saw my mom, flat on her back and unable to speak or move. I run over to her and ask if she is O.K. All she does is moan. I run to the phone and subconsciously dial my grandmother's number first (she lived about a half-minute from the house at the time) and hurriedly tell her the current situation. I proceed to call 911. She arrives a minute later and asks what moms blood sugar was, where i told her it was in the teens (I had tested her before anything else), and she tells me to get a glucose packet from the bread box. they proceed to attempt to "feed" my mother the insta-glucose packet, and I watch as they had to help her swallow it. When the ambulance arrived, I just stood in shock.
