Chewie?
- Doesn't sound scary to me. Sounds like a wookie. Really what it could be is a call from a cellphone with bad reception ir a messed up microphone. I have heard odd sounds on cell phones when signal was poor to non-existant.

More than meets the eye...err umm ear??
- One of the commenters to the original YouTube post said that there were 2 other users who experienced the same thing. But here's the kicker... These 2 users had posted up the exact same sound on the exact same day. The users were "eyecatcher19851" and "1185slee" Those accounts were both created on 10/14 with their creepy caller videos being uploaded the same day. Now I'm not saying this is totally debunked here, but it appears to be quite a unique coincidence given that their videos sound amazingly similar to this one. So it should be taken into consideration that this could possibly be a viral marketing strategy that your reader is privy to, or that "Para2011" is being pranked with the same audio file that was captured by the other users. Points to ponder before we go on believing that this same phantom caller is ringing multiple people's phone lines here. Either that or it's the same technical glitch that has been occurring on several phones for quite some time now.

Re: Paranormal Answ. Machine Messages
- Firstly, to me it sounds like someone is holding a mike up to a cat when it's purring. I have 6 cats and have done this with the phone. The voice sounds like a guy saying, "Aargh!" over and over, and perhaps the two sounds were combined by some technogeek determined to play a prank on these people. Now, with odd stuff happening around the house with these voice messages, I'm wondering if this family didn't bring home an antique or some object with a spirit attached to it in the last week or two. Just sayin'.
