Video: North Carolina man confronts Bigfoot

Follow me on:

North Carolina BigfootTim Peeler, a mountain man living in Cleveland County, North Carolina, was calling coyotes with his plastic jug megaphone when out stepped from the treeline a giant hairy creature that Peeler describes as being "ten foot tall." In this NBC News story, Peeler and a county deputy who investigated the sighting provide a pretty convincing report of the encounter. Apparently, this large hairy man has been in the vicinity for decades, breaking into chicken coops and killing animals. Peeler says of his encounter with the creature that he "rough-talked him and run him off." The creature left, Peeler called the authorities, but then the Sasquatch returned. Peeler scared it off with a pointed stick.

The account may be somewhat amusing, but seems to me highly credible. Obviously, this mountain man is very familiar with animals such as bear, deer, etc., so it's unlikely that he would mistake a common creature for the bipedal monster he reports. I believe him. What do you think?

This guy may sound like a nut, but he is probably as sane and as smart as most people. There is a different communication structure with the poor of Appalachia backwoods that exists even in these modern times and people need to realize this when they hear his story.
He sounds plausible. It’s hard to tell what is out in some of these woods. Our temperate climate and abundant wildlife and plants in NC can sustain a multitude of animals. Even though the “creature” was big, most animals are shy and can easily be run off with harsh words and a stick, including bear.

Interesting… jury’s out… since it seems he can take care of himself, I’m more worried for the dog:-(

What do I think? I think maybe you might want to take a few steps back before he pulls on your other leg.
