Here are some noteworthy and recommended books that have recently been added to my paranormal bookshelf:
Legend Tripping by Jeff Belanger
Part of Course Technology's Picture Yourself series, Jeff's new book is an introduction and invitation to go "legend tripping" -- to explore ghosts, cryptid creatures, UFOs and other unexplained phenomena in your own locale. There's no need to travel great distances to explore haunted locations, and you don't need to be a UFO expert to investigate sightings of flying saucers, says Jeff. There are probably plenty of paranormal legends and stories right in your town. Jeff's book explains how you can get started.
Helping Ghosts: A Guide to Understanding Lost Spirits by Louis Charles
Louis Charles' experience in ghost investigations has led him to conclude that many spirits are suffering, which is why they are earth-bound and restless. In this book, Charles relates his many personal encounters with troubled ghosts and reveals his techniques for communicating with them and helping them to move on to the next plane of existence. Many interesting cases with step-by-step instructions.
There's Something Under the Bed by Ursula Bielski
Some researchers suspect that children are much more in tune with the "other side," which allows them to more readily sense things psychically and to have experiences with ghosts. Subtitled "Children's Experiences with the Paranormal," Bielski's book explores this relationship between kids and the unknown, which adults often dismiss as their imaginations. She examines imaginary friends, sightings of fairies, popular games, and even insights that some autistic children might have.
