Today's spooky little Halloween treat (or trick, depending on how you look at it) is a sneak peek at a trailer for a new independent film called I Am Zozo, which the producers say is based on a true story. Zozo is a disturbing entity that pops up occasionally during Ouija sessions, and those who have encountered it say that it is almost always negative -- and sometimes terrifying.
Several readers have told their creepy, intense Zozo stories on this website. Here are some of them:

I used to screw with my friends all the time with Ouija boards. I had them convinced and scared out of their minds that someone called “E 5″ was trying to possess them and knew things about them that no one could possibly know. Of course, I was simply moving the oracle around slyly and they bought right into it for weeks. I finally told them it was me the whole time.
That’s all this “Zozo” garbage is. Just people playing pranks on superstitious people who actually buy into this Ouija board nonsense.
Ouija’s are real and tap into “something”. I used one by myself for many hours when I was younger, eventually manifested into a physical haunting of my home.
If you do not believe, sit with one alone, have patience and see what happens….
Could you please upload the “Photo Apparition” and link it to you to this posted story
“ZOZO” is French slang or familiar French meaning “bad boy.” I know a voodoo priestess and inadvertently summoned The Man in the Hat while lighting some voodoo candles in NYC in ’94. Many voodoo rituals involve French words so ZOZO would be a generic term they might use to not give their true identity. I became an Adept at magick and spent a lot of time with maguses. Generally, this is not a good idea to mess with what you do not feel fully capable of dealing with. At the very least, candles are dangerous and many cultures, such as Buddhism, believe their arrangements can summon forces, both good and bad, and of course, in between. The voodoo priestess confessed this to me only recently, though I have known her for decades. She has had the worst luck in her business life of anyone I know! Had I not reached Adept status and met my guardian angel, I would not have tried a thing. As it stands, I avoid all that, for years now, except to help people with divination if they really need it. If I feel weak or vulnerable or without sufficient power and protection, i decline.
Here is my simple message about this whole thing- Never use Ouija boards- they are very very dangerous. The reason being they are much like the internet, and when you use them, it would be the equivalent of sending your social security number and address to every single person using it- putting yourself at great risk. All of these stories as scary as they are, are simply the result of these people’s ignorance. Ouijas are not to be used as prooving methods, and do not attempt to contact anyone through them- back to my internet comment- anyone will claim to be anyone on the web, just to meet thier own ends- entities are the same- be smart people.
Simply I have played with ouja boards many many times in the past 10 years with friends and alone nobody by the name zozo contacted me perhaps my spirit position i a bit more powerful the some guy out there who goes by the name of a spirit that closely resembles the name of the one in the exorcist ‘ pezuzu right?
I read what might have been one of the first Zozo stories back in the 1990′s and it freaked me out enough to remember it even now. Not sure if it’s just an “urban legend” or what, but I do know I’d never mess with a ouija board.
Longtime Led Zeppelin fan here. I’ve always wondered where the name Zoso (their, I think, fourth studio album) came from. Knowing Jimmy Page was into Alistair Crowley and satanism, this certainly sheds light on that old mystery.
Led Zepplin’s 4th album actually had no name. Jimmy Page had all 4 members each pick a symbol to stick on the cover and that was it. Page’s symbol resembled the word ZoSo and that was one of the many nicknames the album developed. Page never has said where he got it or what it meant, he said he just made it up. It is thought to be to be a take on the symbol for Saturn though since Page is a Capricorn. So maybe Zozo is the god Saturn? That’s a scary thought!
so, about a week ago me nd one of my friends i hadn’t seen in a long time used a ouija board && it was the first time for both of us, only thing we knew how to do was open && close the board, but right when we asked if there was anyone there it started going in a figure 8, we didn’t know that was bad, shortly after that my friends brother came in the room to tell us to stop using it it started counting down, her bother immediatly told us to yell stop so we did, but then i started feeling like i was getting cut so we closed the bored but i still felt like i was getting cut so i loooked doen and i had real cuts, we re-opened the ouija board just to try to re-close it but it went in figure 8 again and kept spelling out the leters “z o z o z o z o z o z o z o z o” over nd over again then our candles started flickering, now whoever i’m around bad stuff starts happening to them and it is really scary…
