"On New Years Eve, 1987," says Steven, "two friends and I stayed the night at my friend's house to celebrate the New Year. We were left alone in my friend's house as his parents left for a party. To pass the time, we spent much of the 11:00 p.m. hour playing with a Ouija board trying to contact dead relatives. We failed on every attempt... except for one...." And what a response they got! Ouija board was common item in the 70s. What I remember is the more dominant people would move the thing around to certain answers. I got the impression it was stupid and bogus. I’m not sure when the Ouija board came out but it seems to have grown in popularity and has become much scarier these days. Back in the 70s it was a kids toy and my impression of it wasn’t so high.
