"Elvis Presley"

I have been involved in EVP research since the late 1970s and have amassed a large collection since then, This one I received about a year ago with an open microphone. I chose this one because I keep getting different opinions regarding its content. I am totally convinced the voice is saying, "Elvis Presley." In saying this, I am not claiming it is the voice of Elvis. I received this voice after a discussion I had with a friend about Elvis in which I stated that I was never really a fan of his singing. However, it is no wonder it can be so difficult getting people to accept this phenomenon when we can't agree on what is being said when manage capture a voice... or should I say, sound.

Weird noise and "Hi"

My mother uses a Dictaphone at night to record who snores most between her and her husband. The Dictaphone is voice activated and will only start recording after detecting sounds. Two months ago, she recorded a strange screechy noise similar to the one here, this unexplained noise was then forgotten about. The noise here was recorded three days ago, what you hear is a loud bang like a metal clunk then the strange screech. Earlier on the tape was a motorbike driving up the road next to our house, this sound was much less audible than the screech, my mother and father were both unaware of the noises till hearing the tape the next morning. We did think it could be an owl perhaps but the loud clunk is also unexplained. – Carl Callaghan

Shana, a reader from Michigan, adds:
If you listen very carefully at the very end of the second ping sound, someone says "hi" or "goodbye"! You have to turn it up loud to hear it, but it's there!
