Grave Coincidence

This true and weird story happened in a graveyard in Scotland where I'm from, now living in Devon. I had just come out of a very messy and very boozy divorce, so I needed a break. I went home to my mum's with my new girlfriend. We all decided to go to the local graveyard to pay respects to loved ones, past friends and family. At the time, I was killing myself with booze and drugs, and really needed some help.

As we passed through the cemetery, I was walking with my uncle; the rest of my family were laying flowers at various graves. My uncle and I were having a chat about nothing real when we stopped at a gravestone at the same time for no reason. There right in front of us was a new headstone with my name on it -- same date of birth! (But we couldn't remember the death date.) We were very shaken about it and have never spoke of it again.

A warning maybe? Coincidence? Who knows, but it has changed me completely. I am now a very different man.
