Plea from the Future
by Brian

I was never a big believer in angels or time travel - that is, until one unforgettable Sunday night in the north mountains overlooking the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm 19 years old and live in a small town in Nova Scotia called Bridgetown. Most weekends in the summer a few friends and I take a drive up to the mountains in this secluded spot where no one else goes. We called this place Sandy Lake. To get there, we have to drive up this road which is on an extremely steep hill and it's really bumpy with twists and turns. It takes an hour to get there and it's not a pleasant ride, but once you're there, it's all worth it because this spot is beautiful, so peaceful, so relaxing, so quiet and there's a small clean lake if you wanted to go swimming. Once there, you would never ever want to leave.

It was close to 11:30 at night on Sunday night, August 18, 2002. Two of my friends and I had just spent the weekend camping at Sandy Lake and none of us wanted to go home yet, so after we packed up our stuff we just sat around chatting about people we know and movies and stuff. It was 11:45 when all three of us noticed two small beams of white light that were growing bigger and brighter. It's very difficult to explain these beams of light, but they were bright white and brilliant. One beam of light stopped growing and turned into the form of a 12 year old boy, but the other beam kept growing and growing until it took on the form of a woman about 31 or 32 years of age. She looked like she was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans with long blond hair. She appeared to be crying. The 12 year old looked to be about 4'9", wearing a long white T-shirt and black knee-length short pants and had light brown hair. He looked extremely confused, like he didn't know where he was, like he wasn't supposed to be there, looking around and not knowing where he was. He was very confused and disoriented. My friends and I couldn't believe our eyes. We were all so scared, but too scared to move. Our legs were shaking.

The 12 year old boy never said a word, but the woman, through her teary eyes, looked at us and said pleadingly, "Please, save my son!"

We just stood there confused and didn't say a word. We didn't know what to say and we didn't know what was going on. We looked at each other for a minute and then continued to stare at the woman and child.

"Please," she continued, "My time will be over, but it won't be his time yet. You've got to save him. He isn't supposed to die."

One of my friends could hardly speak, but stuttering and with extreme fear in his voice he asked, "Umm, wh- ... wha...what do .... y- .. you ... mean?"

Teary eyed and crying, the woman answered, "When you saw us crash .. (sobbing) ... I saw you when I died. (more crying) You didn't know my son was with me. (more sobbing) Please don't leave him to die this time. (more crying)... he will be lying in the field. (crying)

My other friend said, "I don't understand. When did you die? Who are you? What are you trying to tell us?"

She responded, sadly, "Marlene is my name and I died August 19, 2002 at exactly 12:17 a.m. in a car accident." (more crying)...

I thought about what she said for a second and then pointed out, "That's a half an hour from now."

She continues, "I die near a big barn by a field. My son will be lying in this field. You have to help him. It won't be too late for him. Please don't let him die. Look for him; he will be in the field."

One of my friends said, "Didn't we see a big pasture on our way up here Friday? Right near a big old barn?"

We thought for a second and then my other friend said, "Yeah, that's right. It's near that sharp turn in the road where we almost wiped out. That's a dangerous curve."

"Yeah," I said, "People should be more careful going around there or else someone's going to die."

Suddenly and in a split second, the image of the 12 year old boy disappeared in a small flash of light and there was only the woman. Her tears disappeared, her sadness was quickly replaced with happiness. her frown became a smile. Softly and full of so much love she said to us, "Thank you, thank you so much. God bless you." And slowly she faded away. My friends and I were way beyond scared at this point and we all got into the car and got out of there.

Halfway home we were still scared, thinking about this encounter. We were all trying to make sense of this and came up with no reasonable answers to what was going on. That's when I began thinking that it was all probably only a hoax. Some trick someone was playing on us.

We were approaching a sharp turn in the road and my friend who was driving decided to slow down just to be safe. Suddenly, this other car came from around the turn from the opposite direction and smashed into a big tree by the big barn and rolled about five times then landed in the ditch.

"Oh my god!!" my driving friend said. "Stop the Car" I said and we all got out of the car to help. My friend pulled out his cell phone and called 911 immediately. Carefully, we helped the driver out of the car and none of us could believe what we saw. "Holy ****," I said. Astonished, one of my friends said, "Isn't that the woman we saw with the child back at Sandy Lake?" "Sure looks like her", my other friend said. She had long blond hair wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. The woman looked at me, looked at my other friend and then looked at me again. Her eyes slowly closed and her body became lifeless. My friend, who was on the cell phone with 911 asked, is there any identification on her? I looked in her purse and her driver's license said her name was Marlene Johnson and she was born Feb 12, 1972. She was 31 years old. Then my friend said the 911 operator wants to know if there were any other passengers.

"It doesn't look like it," my other friend said. "Nope," I said. "Just her, I think." My friend told 911, "Just the driver." "Hey wait!" My other friend said, "Didn't she say she had a kid with her?" "The field!" I thought to myself. I ran over to the pasture and looked for this kid. I found him lying close to this big barn. He must have been thrown about 10 feet from the car. He has a big cut on his head. The boy was bleeding pretty badly and he was unconscious, but still alive. I told my friend to tell 911 that there was another passenger, a young boy, unconscious and bleeding. I took off my shirt and and tied it around his head as a bandage to keep him from bleeding. Carefully, I picked him up and carried him closer to the scene. My friend went to the trunk of the car and got out one of the pillows and placed it under the kids head for support. The ambulance arrived and took over. one paramedic examined the woman as the other two examined the boy.

"We lost the driver," the one paramedic said to the other two and wheeled her into the ambulance. "Killed instantly. How's the boy?" "Unconscious, but still breathing," one of the other paramedics said. "He has a big cut on his head, "then he pointed to us, "...but one of these guys stopped the bleeding. Lucky they were here," he said, "otherwise the kid would have died too."

Almost a year has passed and the 12 year old is alive and well. He misses his mother, but he is fine and with no permanent injuries. To this day, my friends and I kept this to ourselves. None of us ever told anyone about this. We told nobody because no one would ever have believed us, including the 12 year old boy.
