Queen Mary Ghost

Several years ago, my (now ex-husband) and I took a vacation to California. One of our last trips was to Long Beach. While there, we took a tour of the docked Queen Mary. I had not known much about the ship at the time. We were wandering through the ship in awe of its timeless beauty. Looking at the refurbished displays in the paneled halls, in the area where they have recreated the doctors quarters and exam rooms, we were in the hallway talking about the tools and instruments.

I was looking up at my husband, and beyond him I could see a woman walking down the hall toward us. She was wearing a '40s-style dress of filmy pale green fabric and her hair was dark blonde short and wavy. She looked dressed period-perfect for some show, I thought. As she passed behind him, I turned to look at her and she was nowhere in the hall. She had completely vanished. This was not a ghostly image; she looked like a real person.
