Awakened
by a Ghost
by Duo
For several years there has been a young girl of roughly seven, who I can only assume is a ghost, that runs frantically into my bedroom at night, rousing me between 11 and midnight. This has happened on several occasions, and though supernatural things normal don't bother me, I was a bit shaken up by her, because unlike other things I'd experienced she physically shook me awake and whispered my name. Her presence was a frightening one, despite how young she seemed to be.
I decided to sleep in my living room after one of the nightly attacks, and still do to this day, because this seemingly innocent ghost has gotten violent. One morning I woke in my living room and everything was dreadfully cold. I could feel some on in the room, but it wasn't until I heard my name whispered that I became concerned. I could tell it was the girl, but she didn't sound so small and frightened anymore. Actually, she sounded like she was trying to scare me. I became very suspicious that the thing in my house was not a little girl, but something unfriendly that was posing as one.
My suspicions were realized about a month ago. I put my dog outside, and when I went to let him back in I saw an enormous black dog dart through my yard and around the side of my house, which promptly disappeared when I looked to see where it was running to. That night while in the shower, I felt something sting my leg and looked down to see a large claw mark going up the side of my leg. For a second I thought that my dog must have done it, until I realized how fresh it looked.
I finished showering and decided to take a look at the strange claw marks again, but all that I could find on my leg was three small strips of reddish skin where the scratches had been and a hand print left on my leg much smaller than my own would be. I can only assume, since it was a hand print the size of a child's, that it was the thing that used to wake me up all the time, but I can't make sense of what the big dog had to do with anything. Maybe you can make some sense of this story.
