What I
Saw

This
experience happened about two years ago, and I've spent that two years trying to
find out what this "thing" is, to no avail.
It was like any other morning except I hadn't been able to sleep that well through the night. I had just had an uncomfortable feeling. My dad came into my room to wake me up for school (as he usually did). I usually sleep quite heavily and an alarm clock doesn't wake me up. I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee, then back to my bed. I sat there listening to the radio drinking my coffee. My dad shouted "bye" and left for work. I was just about to lean over and turn off my radio when I caught something moving out the corner of my eye. I turned around to have a look (my bed is opposite the door) and did not believe what I saw.
I have heard of shadow people but this scared the **it out of me. It wasn't a person or animal that I recognized. It was a shadow standing in my door - not like a normal shadow on a wall; this was a freestanding 3-D shadow in my doorway. I sat there, mouth wide-open thinking, "No... can't be." I looked away and looked back. It was still there. It was the height of the door handle, if not slightly higher. It was black like a shadow, had three claw-like fingers and a thumb. It was really ***kin musceley. That's about all I had time to notice, apart from when it turned. I noticed ears or horns or something on top of its head. It took a step back, turned and walked off in the direction of the bathroom.
I sat there for about 10 minutes thinking about it. Then I wondered if it was still in the house. I grabbed my cricket bat and carefully walked to the bathroom. It had gone. Just vanished. Nowhere to be seen. I checked the whole house and nothing - not a trace. I got dressed and sat down to think about it again, then checked all the windows - all shut and locked. It didn't walk past again, so it couldn't have got downstairs to the door. This really creeped me out.
Needless to say I was late for school.
