Your True Tales Eerie Green Sphere In February of 2006, I was ecstatic about a vacation to Discovery Bay near the Puget Sound in Washington. I was about 15 or 16 years old and a paranormal enthusiast. The problem was, I had never encountered anything out of the ordinary, so I had no interesting stories to tell my friends. Until one fateful night. I was outside on the porch of a nice condo we (my mother, her boyfriend and my grandparents) had rented in the dead of night to admire the stars. This was far from any big city, so the sky was a little overwhelming. My step-sister, Lily, who was also on the trip, was suddenly distracted from the dazzling sky to something in the water. "Look!" she shouted. "Something in the bay is glowing!" I at first thought it was merely her eight-year-old mind playing tricks on her, but nonetheless I looked out to the water. Sure enough, about 10 feet away from the shore, a large, green, glowing sphere was slowly making its way up the bay. It passed by the dock and disappeared from sight. I couldn't tell the exact size of this thing, but if it had been swimming just below the surface, I suppose it might have been the size of a beach ball. The next morning, I asked a marine biologist who was hosting a little show and tell at the dock about life in the bay, if there were any large bioluminescent animals in the bay. He said he hadn't heard of any. I told him about what I saw and he said he didn't have a clue. < Previous story | Next story >
