The Laughing Children

All of the sudden we heard a noise from a really dark room off to the left of the stairs. It was like an old metal heater dragging across the floor. My friend and I jumped at the noise and, just like a cheesy horror movie, he suggested that we go investigate it, so we did. We crept slowly into the dark room and stood in the middle of the room. This room had mini blinds and they were all closed, but light from the street lights still shined on a doorway at the other end of the room. We then heard a whisper. And I asked if my friend said something, he said, "No, I thought you did." We both looked at the doorway and the whispers continued. Then we ran back to the stairs and my friend said, "Let me get out first!" and I said, "Hell no, dude!" Finally we got outside and forgot about the whole thing until later that night. Which is really weird that we just forgot about it, considering we only wanted to have a paranormal experience for the longest time. I got on msn messenger later that night and this girl was on. I was talking to her about the night and told her we went into that old building. Right after that she said, "Did you hear the kids laughing and playing tag on the stairs?"
