Hooded Figure Warning

Last Tuesday night I woke up at about 2:00 a.m. to go to the bathroom. When I was walking back to my bedroom, I saw a very tall black-hooded being in my kitchen next to the front window. I'm a total believer in the paranormal, but was so tired I just went back to bed.
About an hour or so later, my husband got up to go to the bathroom. My husband is total NON-BELIEVER. In the morning he told me that he thought he was hallucinating because he saw a tall black-hooded ghost or something in the kitchen standing next to his guitar amplifier. The guitar amplifier is closer to the bedroom than the front window. When he turned on the light, it disappeared.
His father was in a bad car accident two days later and my father was taken to the emergency room this morning. He is suffering with congestive heart failure. We were wondering if this ghost was there to prepare us that something bad was about to happen. My uncle saw black-hooded ghost before he passed away, but he wasn't afraid of them. He said they used to sit on his bed and motion to him to come with them. I wish I knew if they were evil or not. It didn't scare me at all.
