Left Turn into Another Dimension

October 15, 2008, Rising Sun, Maryland. I am sitting here with my best friend who came into my house with fear on her face and could barely tell me the story I am about to tell you. She called at 5:45 p.m. and said she was coming over. She lives three minutes from my house. She got here at 7:20 p.m. She came in and hugged me like she hadn't seen me in 10 years. I asked her what was wrong? She said, "It took me sooooo long to get here." This is what she told me.
She left her house just after talking to me and stopped at a store. After leaving the store, she took what she thought was the left turn to my house... but it wasn't. She knows this IS the left turn to my house, but it was a dirt road she had never seen before. It was full of bright lights on the left side and looked a business area. There is no business area between her house, my home, or the store she was at. It is a rural area, with acres of woods and farms. So, she turned around to go back, thinking she took the wrong road, although she has been here thousands of times and knows THAT road is not there. She was really scared now. There is no way you can get lost. We live in the country, and there is only one way to my house from hers.
Anyway, she turned around and went back to her house to start over, but she kept ending up on this dirt road that overlooked this lit-up area. She saw a man on the side of the road. The man had a shovel in his hand and said he was working on his house, but the house he was in front of was beautiful and didn't look like it needed landscaping at his time of night. It was dark outside by then. She asked directions, and he said he never heard of either of our street names, Roop Road or Connelly Road, but told her to take a right and then a left and she would get there. I think she was meant to see that man for some reason. Don't know.
