Your True Tales

Night Stalker Visitor
by Seth Fenwick
This story takes place at my house in Santa Barbara, California in 2007 and is true -- I have scars and wounds on my neck to prove it.
My parents ordered Chinese food, as they do annually, and let us have the leftovers. I like to eat the fortune cookies and laugh at what they say. Well, when everybody was off asleep, I helped myself to a cookie. Afterward, I read the fortune and it read: "Someone is concealing their affection from you." I thought it was strange because usually the fortunes were kind of stupid and childish. I went off to bed but found myself having troubles sleeping, so I stayed up for a while thinking about the fortune because for some reason it bothered me, yet I couldn't quite put my finger on why.
I sat in the dimly lit kitchen, still holding onto the fortune. I heard a faint noise. Just then I saw something through the corner of my eye, so I turned toward the hallway leading to the dining/living room. I'll take this time to say that my kitchen is connected to my dining room and living room. The figure was in the living room stirring around in there. I froze for a few minutes, not knowing what to make of the situation, so I foolishly walked into the living room. I could not really see anything, even though my computer was on and lit up a small corner of the room. I heard someone moving around in there and heard a stern yet passive voice say, "Come to me." I was at the light switch, but too afraid to flip it on. I felt a strange presence in the room a sinister one.
After a few minutes, I finally got myself to turn the light on to discover nobody was there with me. I sighed a breath of relief and assumed I was simply just tired and thought it best if I went off to bed soon. After an hour or so, I finally went to sleep. I stayed in bed for the remainder of the night and through most of the day. I felt very hot, as if I was undergoing a bug of some type. My stomach ached so bad I could not bring myself to get out of bed.
After maybe 10 minutes, I felt completely fine and sat up to see that I was alone. When I walked into the bathroom I looked in the mirror to see a long scratch mark on my neck it looked fresh I examined my shoulder noticing similar marks. Most recently, I received a mark that looks like a puncture wound.
