The White Cat

This is kind of a strange story that happened to me back in about 12/98. It was about midnight or so, and my husband and I were lying in our beds sleeping. I was asleep, but not in a deep sleep because my husband likes to watch TV until he falls asleep, so he had just turned off the TV and was about to sleep.

All of a sudden, I "felt" something come into our bedroom. I thought that my brother-in-law (who was living with us) just came home and that it was him coming in. I immediately looked on the floor by my bed and saw a big white cat with huge blue eyes just staring at me. I can still remember seeing it on the floor right between where my purse and shoes were on the floor. I immediately grabbed my husband and said, "Look at that cat!" And he was like, "What cat? There's nothing there. Go back to bed." I looked back and then saw the spot where the cat was, and it was empty. I was sitting up with my eyes open looking at the same spot. I know I saw it. It was like a real cat and it was cartoon like at the same time.

The next day, I went to work and told my boss about what I saw and she said, "You must be pregnant." A short time later, I found out I was. I still wonder to this day why I saw that white cat. Maybe it was a premonition of my upcoming pregnancy?
