Wormhole on Earth?
by Vicki

One weekend my 15-year-old daughter and I set out to visit my older daughter at college. My 15-year-old had spent the night at her father's house, 12 miles away (it takes around half an hour to get there), so I had to first pick her up before we started out. When I arrived at my ex-husband's, she was not yet ready (of course), so I went in to talk for a few minutes. From her father's house, it usually takes 2-1/2 hours to get to my older daughter's college.

While driving, there was one area where I remember that we were so engrossed in conversation that I didn't remember seeing anything of the area. We didn't realize until we got to the college what the time was and that I had traveled 150 miles in an hour and 15 minutes!

This also included the time I spent at my ex-husbands house when I went to pick up my daughter. We used little or no gas for this trip, as when we arrived the tank was still on full. I have a hybrid car, but I don't think it is supposed to get that kind of mileage!

I have had similar occurrences happen to me in the past, but I was always driving alone when it happened, and so somewhat discounted it, and it was also for shorter distances. A common element of the experiences seems to be that I always seem to daydream or space out when it happens. I have read that this has happened to others writing on this site. Have you also experienced that there is a time period when you can't remember, when this phenomenon occurs?
