I live in West Java, Indonesia. I can't specify the dates the incidents took place since I only read them in the newspapers. I only want to share that something like chupacabras also occurs in my country, far, far away from the American continent.
It happened in the villages near the mountains in my province. No one actually has seen the creature or creatures since the attacks only happened at night. The villagers only reported that some of their sheep had been killed and sucked their blood dry. The sheep had two holes on their necks. Since guns are illegal in my country, and the villagers were too scared of being attacked themselves, they didn't try to guard their sheep. They only tried to keep the sheep in a closed barns. But, unfortunately, it seemed that the creature had the ability to open the door of the barns and steal the sheep out of the barn, since the villagers always found the dead sheep right outside the barns.
It usually happens during the dry seasons and not during the rainy seasons. (We only have two seasons in my country.) Well, I guess chupacabras had traveled a long the way from the American continent to the Southeast Asia, or there's a local kind of chupacabras here in Indonesia.
