This took place the other night at my house in Kentucky. I had crept downstairs for a midnight snack. I have a habit of glancing out the windows when I passed them and I happened to glance out the window on the stair landing when I got there. To my surprise, my dog Abbie, was standing outside on the sidewalk. I did a double-take and noticed that the parts of her that are white seemed to be fading so she was looking brown yet transparent.
Now my dog died of old age on August 13th, 2007. Yet I would've sworn up and down that that was Abbie outside on the sidewalk - standing erect, ears slightly perked, tongue lolling out in a type of canine-grin. I quickly ran into the kitchen to gather my wits about me. Must've been a neighbor's dog... yes, that made the only logical sense.
My appetite gone, I crept back to the same window and peered out, just in time to see a doggie-like apparition fade away. My heart froze as my brain tried to grasp what my eyes could not possibly be seeing. That's when I heard a loud growling sound -- coming from inside the house! In fact, seemingly right next to me! I didn't wait for the apparition - I bolted upstairs and huddled in my room for the rest of the night.
I've seen no more apparitions, but I keep thinking my eyes are playing tricks on me now. Abbie was so kind and gentle in her first life. What has happened to her in this next one? Or maybe it wasn't even her.... Then who or what was it?
