Reader Submissions: Name the black-eyed people

They are seen all over the place -- in grocery stores, in restaurants, on the street... and sometimes, knocking on your door. They have completely black eyes. Worse, they give off an air of evil and dread to those who have the misfortune of encountering them. But it's been suggested that black-eyed people is just too plain a name for these entities. Can you come up with a name that better fits their creepy vibe?
