Who had this premonition and when did it take place?
I had a series of dreams in the year leading up to the September 11 attack.
What was seen in the premonition?
The first dream I had, I was in a tall building. I was someone employed there. I walked around as though the building were shaking, stumbling and unable to keep my balance while all those around me seemed fine. I tried to convince the people in the office with me to leave the building, somehow I felt it was going to collapse but I didn't know why or how. I convinced one person to come with me, and it seemed to take forever going down endless stairways until we finally came out into an open lobby area. It was then that the woman I had convinced to evacuate with me realized she forgot her purse and not really believing me, returned in the elevator. I kept walking to the outside as I knew she would not be coming back out, the building suddenly rumbling. I watched sadly from a short distance as it fell.
I dreamt this dream twice in the same night, one after another, almost like a movie being rewound and played over.
The second dream was of people running and screaming. There was a large mass coming up behind us. People were ducking into stores or running and screaming. I eventually ran into a coffee shop as this mass had almost caught up with me.
I realized after the attack that this was the wave of dust and debris after each building collapsed.
In the same dream, after ducking into the coffeehouse and the mass moved on, people were evacuating, the subway systems not working. Originally I had thought this was taking place in Montreal where I lived at the time but soon realized everything around me was unfamiliar. People in my dream were walking highways and bridges just to get home.
Seeing this happen for real on a tv screen the day of the attack shocked me. I had dreamt variations of this dream several times off and on for months before the attack.
The day of the attack I didn't turn the tv on before leaving. I was running late and was very anxious for some unknown reason. As I was locking up I smelt an overpowering smell of smoke. I felt almost panicked and didn't want to leave home. It wasn't until I got back a few hours later that I actually found out what had happened. The time I had smelled smoke that morning was the same time the pentagon was hit.
