- I saw one recently near San Marcos. I only told a few people and with the exception of clols friends basically think I am crazy. I am an avid outdoorsman and was working on a deer feeder when I noticed hair sticking up over a large limb in a large live oak. As I made my way around the tree expecting a possum or raccoon I was startled to see an animal that I had never seen before. It was the size of a large raccoon but had the face of Lemur? or Monkey. The hair that I saw was a 8 inch mohawk of thick white grey hair, the rest of the body was coverered with short black hair. The eyes were piercing, dark with no pupils. I was 10-15 ft away. It was panting as if I had surprised it and scared it. I was astonished when I looked on the internet. The picture of the Mystical Chubracabra and descriptions of the Mohawk down the back made me realize that I had seen a very unusual rare animal.

Our chicken got sucked!
- In happened one night in 1975 in PR. My mother had chickens behind the house on a cliff. One night while I sat behind the house in the dark looking at the stars. I heard this wing flapping noise. Something big landed by the chicken's cage and they kind of chuckled. I ran inside. The next day, my mother found one of the chicken dead with a hole in the neck, flat like pancake, bloodless.

Chupacabras
- I think they are a cross between a Mexican Hairless dog (which is related to the Chinese Crested) and a coyote or wolf.

see below
- Most "chupacabras" which have been sighted or killed have been diseased canine mammals (dogs, coyotes or hybrids of these two species). It appears it may involve some type of canine disease which makes the diseased animals want to suck the blood of other animals.

Real ?
- I'm sure that it is areal animal with some sort of illness or disease like mainge I believe that they have done DNA tests and the animal had coyote/wolf DNA

Totally
- Y'all might think I sound like a wack job but they are so real. I've never seen them or even heard of them until recently but how can you not believe that. I don't believe they fly but they are most likely real. Course this is coming from someone who thinks there are still dinasours that somehow survived. Whether you believe me is your choice. I just want to ask you one question. Why are you on here, reading this, if you don't believe me?

naturalist and historian
- The "Flying Chupacabras" have existed in the Mexico, Central America, and South America corridor for hundreds of years, as reported by the Incas, the Aztecs, and all the other groups of people that have chronicled throughout the history of mankind the very existence of this species......The very fact that the creatures have the ability of flight and that they are strictly nocturnal animals makes them difficult to see, much less photograph or catch.......Northern Mexico, and lately the Big Bend region of far West Texas , may be the best opportunity to finally once and for all scientifically prove their existence, as this particular area has recently been inundated by sightings of the beasts.....They are particularly active in late summer and into the fall there.....

WEIRD!!
- i dont think the chupacraba is real....but it would be scary to see a real creature!!

Hmm
- I'm skeptical. The pictures seem real. The people who've seen the chupacabras have no real reason to lie - except maybe to get attention. I do wonder though: has anyone heard it's voice? I mean what sound it makes. Does it howl like a wolf or bark like a dog.

It's real - I've seen it
- I saw a weird animal(?) cross the road at night in front of my house about 5 years ago. I've been trying to find out what I saw ever since. When I watched the National Geographics program on chupacabra, I realized that was exactly what I saw. I have since found out that other people in my area have also seen it. I live in Southeast Virginia. It was a one-time sighting for me, but one I'll never forget in my lifetime.
