i can do it too
- it happens to me all the time, especially when im angry, followed by sressed, until they changed most of the hps lights to mh's on campus, while walking to the library 3-8 lights would either go out, or come back on as I walked by, usually they progesively got brighter, or darker as i neared them, some came back on imediately aferward, and thats just a drop in the bucket, 99% of them are hps lights that are dying; there was one time though, that we we took the trailer fishing, and one of my good freinds got alittle drunk, said some pretty nasty things, I was furious, they left, I went down to the pier, on the way their every mercury vapor light in the park shut off as i walked by, some at 25-50 yards away, I though it was funny one stayed on, looked at it, and it shut off. it gets annoying, but its kind of funny, makes you wonder whats going on

About the streetlamps
- I have been experiencing this for a long time... And it may sound crazy.. but i can point to a light with my friends or parents and tell them it will go out. Nobody believes me when i tell them... but i show them. At first it was really strange but i have come to accept it. My boyfriend has the same effect on the lights and when we are in the car together at least one light on every street will turn off or turn on. One night we went bowling with some friends and i stepped outside to smoke with him. We were having a great time and started to walk across the lot, we found ourselves under a light and it went out. It stayed out the entire time and when we went back to the door it turned on. we walked in and out from under the light and it turned on and off everytime. Some people beleive this is a burden but i love it, i somehow feel at ease when it happens. If you don't believe my story its fine, you just have to see it to believe it i guess.

Its a frequency thing
- I've had this happen to me within the last few years and getting more frequent. Its only streetlights though. One time, however, a streetcar I was about to enter, the lights went out and everyone was in the dark. the other street cars stayed lit. I'm in El Salvador right now visiting and I've staying at my dad's house and I'm sleeping in his room and the room faces the street where there is, surprise, surprise a street light! Guess what? It also goes off and on all the time. Just this streetlight in front of my dad's bedroom. I think its means I'm tapping into a different frequency of consciousness, maybe....

happens to me, but WHY?
- I have this happening to me multiple times in a day... not everyday because it comes and goes but its very prominent even my friends and loved ones around me see it and are freaked out. The other night i was talking to my roommate as we were about to go to bed leaving the kitchen, i turned the lights off and a sec later one turned back on. I'm realizing now this all isnt just coincidence. I still dont understand the meaning of why this is happened.. Do you think it really is my gaurdian angel? DO i have powers? If so, how can I channel them better? I'm so confused... please help!

Thought I was nuts!
- I'm glad to see, like others here, that I'm not the only one to experience this. I just googled "I keep blowing lightbulbs" because that, along with street lamps going out as I approach in my car, computers freezing, and my droid constantly freezing. I was recently at Best Buy, when I got to the cashier, for some reason, the computer was frozen and the other cashiers were fine. About a year ago, I was checking in for a flight at a kiosk, the kiosk froze and I had to wait in line at the counter and when I got up there, for some reason, her terminal was frozen as well while all the other attendants were working along just fine. I'm glad to know I'm not crazy or the only one that this happens too!!

I have had this for years
- This has been going on ever since my neighbor down the street growing up said her house was haunted. I was terified of this house and would never stay in a room alone it was so creepy. She found out it was her grandfather and he was attached to a chair they had that belonged to him. After they moved out the chair was thrown on the curb for trash day. Ever since that day the light accross the street would go out whenever i got close to it. If i stepped foot on the street itself it would go out. As i approached the light it would slowly flicker and come back on only to die down again after i passed. Nobody believed me at first until they seen for themselves as I walked close to it. Everyone was freaked out by the light but never had the same experience when i was absent. Now that I am older I notice street lights and yard lights go out when i approach and alot of times if i think about it going out. If it goes out and i think about it coming on most of the time it comes back on. So od

Sensor Reactive to wavelengths not seen
- Your guardian will sometimes give off emmanations the streetlight on/off sensor is sensitive to. My guess is some sensors are more or less sensitive and may evern react differently than other nearby lamps when turn on or turn off occurs due to light levels at dawn and dusk. stay out of range and watch how they behave as the sun sets or rises. bet they are different.

this is expensive..
- i've gotten so sick of replacing regular light bulbs everyday, we've switched to hallogen..they seem to last a bit longer (cuts back on the magic blown bulb number of around 30 per month). Street lights, florescent lights, industrial warehouse lights..when i get upset the lights in the dining room and kitchen start flickering. I'm glad I found this site..i thought i was possessed...(blew out 2 today)

For Years...
- I have experienced SLI nearly all my life and it continues today. My wife is very aware of it as it is increased in frequency when we are together, despite it never happening to her before.

slider or not?
- I was very upset that my dad was dying of cancer and I woke up during the night on a regular basis. On one such night I was very tired after waking up and spent some time in the living room in the dark just thinking. When I went back to my room in the dark I put my finger on the light switch but did not press it. At the same time my left hand pointed to one of the touch lamps in my room as I remembered that my main bedroom light did not work as the bulb had recently blown. When I pointed to the touch lamp I heard an audible pop and the touch lamp turned on by itself. When I pointed to the lamp it was like my mind forgot that it had to actually make my body go over and do it! And it was so weird that something made me point at the lamp when it did it. It happened again about a week or two later, same thing. I was tired, forgot that the main room bulb was still out, but remember thinking subconsciously that i had to turn the lights on, plural. Both touch lamps came on!

Maybe??
- I always thought it was a coincidence but every day on my drive to school with my brother and every day the second i get off the interstate all the streetlights on the street i exit on to go off and stay off and when i get on the next street all of those lights go off and when i turn onto my school all those lights go off, i never noticed this till my bro started saying the vampires are coming (he thinks they turn them off) i am rarely passing these lights the same time every day (i thought they were on a timer) and i have noticed lights flicker when i drive alone the past 3 months ive started noticing my brother says he notices them flicker when someone else drives him however they never go out completely unless we are together

ME 2!
- I've had street lights turn off by walking or driving under them for years. Recently, all the lights in the rest area on I-80 near Morris, IL., have been shuting off when I drive past. The whole place goes dark! I have blown alternators in every cars I've owned. Customer service personnel are often baffled when the computer crashes or freezes up while helping me. In college, the computer lap people called security, detained me, and scanned my computer discs. They assumed I was "downloading viruses," because the computers would olny act up when I was in there. Forget about battery powered watches! Alarm clocks are so-so. Phones, land line and cellular, never seem to work right. I can negatively effect or "fry" just about any electrical device. Then I'm blamed for "breaking it."

I think so...
- Well i just noticed that this happen a couple months ago. Im still in high school and have a long bus ride early in the morning when its still completely dark outside. I noticed that as we drove through various neighborhoods some of the same street lights would go out, about 5-7 different ones in different neighborhoods. Also, lights that had already been out, i have turned on. I kept track of the number that went out over a 2 month period. When it first started it would happen once every 4-5 days or so. Although as it progressed in this 2 month period the intervals between blackouts became smaller and smaller; as small as 1-3 per moning for about 4 days straight. In this 2 month period i counted about 30-40 light blackouts. Yet all the people i asked said they NEVER see this happen to them, especially on that large a scale. The most notable event was a 10 min. trip to the gas station with 4 different lights going out. I haven't found ANY way to control it, it seems completely random.
